Vintage 1950's Western Persia Malayer runner - 3'3" x 12'8"

The city of Heriz is located roughly 60 miles from the legendary carpet-producing city of Tabriz. Since the early 19th century (circa 1950), Heriz has been producing these Malayer rugs that highlight spectacular patterns with richly detailed borders. Weavers in Malayer consistently put great effort into creating exquisite border designs. Malayer rugs are versatile and can be used in a range of contemporary design styles or a room of traditional furniture. They are also amazing foundations for conversation type areas with solid colored furniture.
