Orders & Payment
How do I place an order?
Order online any time, visit our SoHo showroom, or reach our client services team by chat or at assist@lemieuxetcie.com for help with sizing, finishes and custom requests.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo and Amazon Pay. Wire transfers may be accepted for larger orders with prior approval — contact customer support to ask.
Do you accept deposits for orders?
We don't accept deposits to hold items. Full payment is required upfront to process an order.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled, with a full refund, as long as they haven't left our warehouse. Upholstery and custom orders can't be cancelled once placed.
Delivery
What delivery services do you offer?
Threshold delivery: delivery to the first dry area inside your home (such as a garage), scheduled by appointment, with up to 2 flights of stairs included. Items are not unpacked, and an adult signature is required.
White glove delivery: scheduled by appointment, unpacked and placed in the room of your choice, with up to 2 flights of stairs, up to 30 minutes of light assembly and debris removal included. An adult signature is required.
Does white glove delivery include assembly?
Yes. White glove delivery includes placing your piece in the room of your choice, light assembly (up to 30 minutes on site) and removal of all packaging.
How is my delivery scheduled?
You'll receive an automated phone call or email to schedule, and we'll let you know your delivery day — or, in some areas, your delivery week. The carrier confirms the time window 24 hours before departure and calls 30 minutes before arrival; if there's no answer, they'll leave a voicemail and, where available, a text.
If we can't reach you, your shipment is held until the carrier makes contact. Have a concern about your window? Let us know right away — otherwise delivery goes ahead as planned.
How do I track my order?
Furniture deliveries are scheduled directly with you as described above. For an update on any order, send your order number to assist@lemieuxetcie.com or ask us in chat.
Does every piece ship?
Almost everything does. A small number of collectible pieces — including our Pierre Jeanneret works — are available for pickup at our SoHo showroom only. This is noted on the product page.
What happens if a delivery can't be completed?
If delivery can't be completed for reasons beyond our control — for example, the piece doesn't fit through the doorway or into the space, it's declined at delivery, or no one is available during the scheduled window — a redelivery fee of up to the original delivery charge applies. White glove redelivery is usually charged as a new delivery.
If redelivery fails and the item is eligible for return, a 20% restocking fee applies. To avoid fees, please check doorway, stair and room dimensions before ordering, and make sure someone is available during your delivery window.
Are there storage fees if I need to delay delivery?
Once your order arrives at our warehouse, it must be accepted for delivery within 15 days. After that, or if delivery can't be accepted within the agreed timeframe, storage and administrative fees apply: $0.03 per cubic foot per day, with a $10 minimum. We'll email the details within five business days of your delay request.
Availability
Are all products on the website in stock?
Not everything is immediately available. Many popular pieces can be pre-ordered — they're marked "Preorder" on the product page, with an estimated arrival date shown at the top of the description.
Can I pre-order items that are out of stock?
It depends on the item. Contact customer support and we'll check for you.
What is the lead time for case goods?
In-stock case goods are typically delivered by white glove service about 3–6 weeks after you order. Pre-order pieces have longer lead times; their estimated arrival is listed on the product page.
What is the lead time for pre-order furniture and custom upholstery?
Pre-order lead times are listed on each product page. Custom upholstery takes about 7–9 weeks to produce.
Custom & Fabric
Can I customize a product?
Size changes aren't available for case goods. Many upholstered pieces offer a full fabric library — open Choose Fabric on the product page — and can also be made in your own material (COM). For other customization questions, email assist@lemieuxetcie.com.
Do you offer COM (customer's own material) for chairs and sofas?
Yes, COM is available for many of our upholstered pieces, including chairs and sofas. Chat with us with the piece and your fabric details and we'll confirm yardage and suitability.
Do you sell fabric by the yard?
Yes, including the Métaphores collection. Fabric by the yard is priced on inquiry — use Inquire for pricing on the fabric page and a specialist will reply with pricing and availability. Fabric by the yard is final sale.
Lighting
Can you customize lighting?
Customization may be available for certain lighting products — contact us for a quote.
Are your lighting fixtures UL listed?
Our fixtures are listed to the UL 1598 safety standard and carry the ETL mark from Intertek, a nationally recognized testing laboratory. The ETL mark is accepted across North America as proof of compliance with the same safety standards.
I have a very tall ceiling. Can I buy additional rods to hang a fixture lower?
Yes, extension rod kits are available for some collections. Search for extension rods to see what's available for your fixture.
Can I install your chandeliers and pendants on a sloped ceiling?
Most of our chandeliers and pendants are designed to work with sloped ceilings. Contact customer support to confirm for a specific fixture.
Samples
Do you ship fabric and leather swatches for custom upholstery?
Yes. Order swatches using the link on each product page, or email assist@lemieuxetcie.com for help. We recommend seeing materials in your own light before ordering.
Do you ship wallpaper samples?
Yes. For our peel-and-stick wallpapers, choose Swatch or Preview Sample in the size options on the product page and add it to your cart. For our traditional wallpapers, samples are ordered through our Christiane Lemieux collection with York Wallcoverings.
Do you ship wood samples?
Wood finish samples are available for select items only. Contact customer support (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm ET) to check whether the finish you're considering is available.
Do you ship rug samples?
Yes, subject to availability. Contact customer support to request specific samples. A FedEx shipping charge applies to all rug sample requests.
Returns
What is your return policy?
Returns are accepted at our sole discretion and must be authorized before shipping. Eligible items must be returned within 30 days of delivery, in original condition and packaging. Approved returns of non-defective items carry a 20% restocking fee, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of receiving the return; please allow another 5–10 business days for your bank to post it. See our full returns policy.
Which items are final sale?
The following can't be returned, exchanged or cancelled once ordered: furniture, custom upholstery, custom framing, fabric by the yard, original artwork and limited edition prints, pillow covers and outdoor pillows, vintage pieces, wallpaper, wrapping paper, sale and outlet purchases, gift cards, orders shipped outside the USA, and anything labeled Final Sale, Made-to-Order or Custom on the product page.
How do I start a return?
Contact customer support to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) — returns sent without one will be refused. Return shipping is paid by you; please use a trackable, insured carrier and send us the tracking number. We can't issue credit for items damaged by inadequate packaging or lost in transit without proof of shipment.
Can I exchange an item?
We don't offer direct exchanges. To exchange, contact customer support to return the original item (if eligible), then place a new order for the piece you'd like. The 20% restocking fee applies, and shipping is paid on both the return and the new order.
Can I return a gift?
Yes, with proof of purchase from the original buyer. At our discretion, we'll issue credit to you or a refund to the original purchaser. Standard return conditions, timeframes and fees apply.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Report any shipping damage or manufacturing defect within 24–48 hours of delivery — claims can't be accepted after that. Send your order number, photos from multiple angles (including packaging and shipping labels) and a description to customer support. If a return is due to a shipping error or manufacturing defect, we'll repair or replace the item at no additional cost.
For signature deliveries, inspect your order in the driver's presence and note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing — claims aren't accepted unless damage is noted there, and "subject to inspection" is not sufficient. Please keep all packaging until your claim is resolved, and don't refuse the shipment.
I'm using a receiving warehouse or designer receiver. What should they do?
Make sure your receiver inspects every package in the driver's presence, writes a specific description of any damage on the delivery receipt ("subject to inspection" will result in a denied claim), photographs the damage, packaging and labels, reports the claim within 24–48 hours, and keeps all packaging. Receivers should not refuse shipments — refusals delay the claim and return shipping is charged to you.
Care & Warranty
How do I care for my pieces?
Care instructions are included with applicable products and listed on product pages. Damage from improper cleaning, harsh chemicals, excess moisture, heat or sunlight, improper assembly or installation, and normal wear and tear isn't covered. Download our wood care guide and travertine and natural stone care guide.
Is natural variation in materials a defect?
No. Wood grain, stone veining, metal patina, leather markings, fabric weave and the pile of velvet vary naturally, and handcrafted pieces have small irregularities. Colors can also look different on screen and under different lighting. We recommend ordering samples before you buy.
Do you offer a warranty?
We don't publish a formal warranty, but we stand behind our products. Service claims are reviewed case by case, and we'll repair, replace or issue a credit for manufacturing defects.
What should I do if I find a defect?
Contact customer support with your order number, a detailed description and photos from multiple angles. Approved claims are resolved by repair, a replacement part or an identical replacement, at our discretion.
