SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY
We take care in preparing and delivering each order. Due to shipping and supply chain volatility, all delivery estimates are subject to change.
This Shipping and Delivery Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy and Terms of Service. By placing an order, you agree to all applicable policies.

DELIVERY SCHEDULING PROCESS
Customers will receive an automated phone call or email to schedule delivery. If no one can be reached to schedule delivery, the shipment will be held until the shipper is able to contact the customer.
At initial scheduling, customers are informed of their selected delivery day or, in ‘week of’ areas, the specific delivery week. The shipper confirms the delivery time frame with the customer 24 hours prior to departure and also calls 30 minutes before arrival. If a customer does not answer the time frame confirmation call, a voicemail is left, followed by an SMS message where applicable.
We expect customers to contact us promptly if they have concerns about the scheduled timeframe. If no response is received, the delivery will proceed as planned.
DELIVERY TERMS
Upon Delivery:
No Signature Required (Standard Deliveries): Most deliveries may be completed without a signature. Delivery to you, your agent, employee, building staff, or designated recipient constitutes acceptance of the shipment in apparent good condition.
Signature Acknowledgement (Freight or Carrier-Mandated): For freight, oversized items, or shipments where the carrier requires a signature, the signature of receipt by you, your agent, or employee constitutes full acceptance of all packages listed on the bill of lading or electronic delivery record.
Inspection Requirement: If a signature is required, packages must be inspected in the presence of the delivery driver prior to signing. Any visible exterior damage must be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
Do Not Refuse Shipments: Do not refuse delivery, even if damage is suspected. Refusing delivery delays the claim process and makes you responsible for return shipping charges.
General Terms: Lemieux et Cie is not liable for delays in shipment, nor does any delay entitle you to cancel your order or to refuse delivery. Delivery may occur in multiple shipments depending on product availability.
Customer Responsibility for Delivery Access:
You are responsible for ensuring adequate delivery access to your property before placing an order for large or bulky items (furniture, oversized lighting, or décor). This includes:
-
Measuring doorways, stairways, elevators, and hallways to confirm items will fit.
-
Disclosing any access restrictions (narrow doorways, tight turns, etc.) before order placement.
-
Ensuring a clear delivery path to the final placement location.
If items cannot be delivered due to inadequate access, incorrect measurements you provided, or undisclosed access restrictions:
-
You will be charged return shipping costs.
-
A standard 20% restocking fee will apply to items eligible for return under our standard return policy, in addition to return delivery fees. Please refer to the Made-to-Order (MTO) policy for restocking fee details.
-
Final sale items: No refund will be issued; the order will be forfeited.
-
The order may be considered final sale at our discretion, even if the item would otherwise be eligible for return.
Contact assist@lemieuxetcie.com before ordering if you have questions about product dimensions or delivery access requirements.
REDELIVERY FEE POLICY
We strive to provide a seamless delivery experience. However, for deliveries to residential addresses or receiving warehouses, a redelivery fee—up to the amount of the original delivery charge—will apply if the delivery cannot be completed for reasons beyond our control.
Some examples include:
-
The item is too large to fit through your doorway or into the desired space.
-
The item is declined upon delivery (e.g., buyer’s remorse).
-
No one was available to receive the delivery during the scheduled time.
To avoid redelivery fees, please ensure:
-
You verify the dimensions of your entryways, spaces, or warehouse access before placing an order.
-
Someone is available to accept the delivery during the agreed window.
If redelivery becomes necessary, the shipper will determine the cost for the additional delivery. For white glove service, a new charge will apply in most cases for the redelivery attempt. If we are ultimately unable to redeliver the product(s) and the product(s) is eligible for return, a 20% restocking fee will be applied.
STORAGE FEES
If you cannot accept delivery within the original timeframe agreed upon at the time of order placement, storage and administrative fees will be applied. Storage fees are calculated at a rate of $0.03 per cubic foot per day, with a minimum charge of $10. These fees are determined based on the size of the order and the duration of the storage.
You will receive an email notification detailing the applicable fees within five business days of submitting your delay request. Once an order is delivered to a Lemieux et Cie warehouse, you must accept delivery within 15 days, or storage fees will begin to apply.
CARRIER DAMAGE CLAIMS PROCESS
All Customers: Inspection & Documentation Requirements:
Signature-Required Deliveries (Freight/Large Items): If delivery requires signature, inspect packages in the presence of the delivery driver before signing. If visible exterior damage is present (crushed box, broken crate, moisture, etc.), note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing and releasing the driver. A claim for shipping damages will not be accepted unless damages are noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
Drop-Off Deliveries (Standard Shipping): Inspect packages immediately upon delivery. If visible exterior damage is present, photograph the exterior before opening.
Concealed Damage (All Delivery Types): If damage is discovered after opening a package, take clear photographs immediately of the damaged item(s), all packaging materials (inner and outer), and shipping labels and box markings.
Reporting Requirements: Contact assist@lemieuxetcie.com within 24-48 hours of delivery with your claim information. Claims will not be accepted after 24-48 hours. Keep all boxes and packaging materials until your claim is resolved. Lemieux et Cie is not liable for repackaging fees if packaging is disposed of.
LOST SHIPMENTS
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, please contact assist@lemieuxetcie.com. We will open a trace investigation with the carrier. If a shipment is confirmed lost, we will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund at our discretion.
THIRD-PARTY RECEIVERS OR FREIGHT FORWARDERS
You are responsible for ensuring your receiver follows these requirements. Taking the following steps is imperative. Failure to follow these requirements may result in claim denial.
-
Inspect Before Signing: Open and inspect packages in presence of the driver before signing the delivery receipt.
-
Note All Damage on Delivery Receipt: Write specific damage description on carrier’s delivery receipt. Do not write “subject to inspection”—this notation is invalid and will result in claim denial.
-
Photograph Everything: Take clear photos of damage, packaging, and shipping labels.
-
Report Within 24-48 hours: Send claim information to assist@lemieuxetcie.com. Claims will not be accepted after 24-48 hours.
-
Retain All Packaging: Keep all boxes and packaging (inner and outer) material until claim is resolved. Lemieux et Cie is not liable for repackaging fees incurred due to the disposal of the original packaging.
-
Do Not Refuse Shipments: Even if damage is suspected (this delays the claim process and you will be responsible for return shipping charges).
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We ship to most international destinations, however you are responsible for arranging all international shipments with the exception or art.
How International Shipping Works:
To place an international order (outside the USA), you must either:
-
Use a freight forwarder who will handle shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to your country; or
-
Provide us with a prepaid DHL shipping label for your international address.
We will ship your order once you have arranged one of the above options and coordinated pickup or delivery details with us.
Pre-Shipment Inspection — Customer Responsibility:
You are solely responsible for confirming that your freight forwarder, shipper, or carrier of choice inspects each item prior to shipping. Lemieux et Cie is not liable for any damage, loss, or defect that occurs during international transit, handling, or customs processing once the item has left our premises or been released to your designated shipper.
International Orders Are Final Sale: All international orders are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation once shipped.
Customs, Duties, and Taxes:
-
International shipments are subject to import duties, taxes, customs fees, and other charges imposed by your destination country.
-
These charges are not included in your purchase price.
-
You are solely responsible for all customs clearance, duties, taxes, fees, and compliance with your country’s import regulations.
-
We are not responsible for customs delays, rejected shipments, or import restrictions.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Lemieux et Cie is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of its products or from delivery delays. Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question.
