Before lace was printed or woven for celebrations, it was made by hand. French Lace is inspired by Alençon needle lace, so refined that Louis XIV established a royal workshop to preserve it in 1665. Delicate florals and scalloped edges in soft blue echo details once reserved for the most meaningful occasions.
