Brume Dorée Limited Edition Art Print

Brume dorée is French for golden mist, and the gold gathers at the top of the canvas before cooling into blue where it settles onto the water. Coral and peach lilies open across deep green pads at the lower left, the only part of the painting that holds its focus, while the rest is left unresolved, dissipating the way smoke does, so the florals keep their shape from across a room and come apart as you walk toward them. With no horizon and no shore, the vantage is the one Monet arrived at in 1903, when he dropped the sky and the bank out of his water lilies and painted the surface alone, and it keeps the scale uncertain and the eye moving.

Every print is signed by the artist, Christiane Lemieux, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, ensuring its status as a collectible. Editions are printed on archival German etching paper and limited to 20 of the larger sizes and 50 of the medium and small sized prints in this series.
