In this singular work, a perfect circle emerges from a field of vertical lines, creating a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow that shifts with the viewer’s gaze. Hand-cut from thick, museum-quality paper in the tradition of Japanese kirie, each incision is both deliberate and sculptural. The composition is mounted on a tonal backer, floated for depth, and framed in warm honey oak - a restrained nod to modernist material palettes.
