Designed by Pierre Jeanneret for the Main Sciences Library at Panjab Agricultural University, this library table retains its original institutional stencil, PAU/PB/M.S.LIB/178/III, intact after more than sixty years of library use.

Constructed entirely in solid teak, the table features a large rectangular top supported by two solid panel legs. The construction reflects Jeanneret's approach to institutional furniture: architectural in form, functional in intent, and built for decades of use.

The panel legs retain hand-scratched inscriptions added by students and library users over many years. These marks are original to the piece and preserved intact, offering a tangible record of its institutional history. The teak has developed a deep, warm patina consistent with its age and origin. Offered as found. Lightly cleaned and unrestored.
